How to inactive Direct Mail sending addresses

The sales person is responsible to manage the Direct Mail sending addresses of their leads and customers.

1. Customer requests to be removed

When you receive a response from a lead/customer requesting to be removed from all paper mailing in the future you shall proceed as follows:

Change customer’s status to inactive by using ‘Manage Direct Mail Addresses’ under Preferences tab.
Click on ’Manage Direct Mail Addresses' and change ‘Active’ to no.

Once done the address will appear in the Invalid Addresses tab and should customer change their mind in the future you can reactivate the address.

2.Duplicate address

If customer received the material from paper mailing twice within the same campaign, you shall mark the address as a duplicate.

Click on ’Manage Direct Mail Addresses' under Preferences tab on the customer NS profile and change ‘Active’ to ‘No’ for the specific address, than inactivate it under ‘Invalid Addresses’ tab.
This way you ensure customer receives any future paper mailing only once.
