Introduction

This Annual review process allows all Flashbay employees to review their performance with their manager and help employees set goals, align them throughout the year and evaluate them at the end of the year.

Each review is comprised of 2 parts - a self appraisal and a review meeting with your manager.

The performance reviews will take place in the months of July/August each year and your local HR team will confirm the dates of each review for your office.

Self Appraisal

At the beginning of each review process, all employees are required to complete a self-appraisal form. Before completing your self-appraisal you should read your previous review form to refresh your memory of the goals you set yourself. The self-appraisal is your opportunity to reflect on the things you did well, and the things you didn't do so well but learned from in the previous 12 months.

Your Manager and/or the HR Manager will read your self-appraisal prior to your review meeting and this allows your manager to view performance from your perspective and helps your manager understand what you see as your strengths and weaknesses.

Taking the time to reflect on your past 12 months of performance is a critical component of the annual performance review process - so make time for it!

Review Meeting

All employees will have an individual meeting with their Manager, you will receive a calendar item from your manager confirming the date and time of your review meeting and all review meetings will be scheduled for 30 minutes. Both the Employee and Manager should spend time preparing for the meeting and the Manager will bring a copy of the employee's completed self-appraisal to the meeting.

The review meeting should be a conversation to review and discuss the employee’s performance over the past 12 months; to identify areas for growth and improvement; to set goals for the upcoming 12 months and create a plan as to how these goals can be met.

Managers will discuss both positive performance and areas for improvement regularly with employees on a daily, weekly or monthly basis however the aim of the annual review meetings is to have a more in depth discussion and to re-emphasise the critical points. The review meeting is also an opportunity to discuss future career goals and aspirations and how a longer term career may be developed.

The Manager will complete the review form during the review meeting and both the manager and employee should read and sign the form.

After the Review Meeting

After the review meeting all employees will receive a copy of their completed review form. Employees should store this and their self-appraisal form in their Confidential Folder, outside of their inbox, so they can easily access it at any time to refresh their memory of the goals they are aiming to achieve.

A copy of the completed self-appraisal form and completed review form will be stored on each Employee's Confidential HR File on NetSuite.
