Introduction
The 'Price List Tool' allows you to generate price lists at various price levels for all products. Please note that this tool is external to Netsuite and has no effect on any data in Netsuite.
Using the tool
The 'Price List Tool' can be located through the following routes in NetSuite:
1) Team Views 2) Customer Record
The 1st method automatically sets the price tool to the correct language, price level and currency of the customer record. This is just to save you time, but of course the settings can be changed at any time on the price tool.
You may wish to add a link to the tool in your language to your browser 'favourites' or 'bookmarks'.
Remember that if you send a customer a price list at, for example at Level 8, that you then should update the customer record in Netsuite to show 'Price level 8'
Some basic rules:
(a) Never send anyone outside Flashbay a link to this tool.
(b) Don't inform your customers how we make the price lists, or let them know about our system of using 'price levels'.
(c) Price lists must be distributed to your customer in PDF form.
(d) PDF creation is done on your computer, so it is your responsibility to ensure that the print settings and PDF creation settings are correct, so that the price list displays correctly.
Pre-Production Working Sample (PPWS)
You can get this item to appear on the price list by ticking quantity 1. Please check it out.
We do not wish to promote PPWS's, you should always guide the customer to order on the basis of a virtual pdf proof and dummy samples.
There are 3 different types of samples we can offer, please choose the most suitable for your customer:
Dummy Samples (free)
These are non-working USB flash drive samples printed or engraved with logos of past customers. They will allow you to see how the print/engraving quality feels first hand. We can supply these dummy samples free of charge, usually delivered next working day.
A Functional Sample (free)
If you wish to test whether the flash drives will work correctly with your network, data, software etc we can send you a 1GB Classic Series in black. Asthetically this may not be the model you are ultimately after, however the internal electronics of this model are identical to all other flash drives we offer (including USB Cards) so it would be suitable for functional testing. We can supply this functional sample to you free of charge, usual delivered next working day.
A Pre-production Working Sample (cost involved)
Generally our 'Virtual PDF Proof' shows all aspects of your logo branding such as pantone colours and position and 99% of our customers order on this basis alone. We understand that some customers, perhaps for internal approval procedures, must see a working sample branded exactly how they want for a subsequent big order. For such cases you can order a 'Pre-production Working sample' from me. The cost is £89exVAT, express delivery from our factory is £12.50 exVAT, and lead time is the same as a large order at 7 working days.
(The price for this pre-production working sample may appear relatively expensive for 1 unit, however the setup procedures involved for logo branding 1 unit are the same for us as an order of, for example, of 100 units)
Price Levels
Here is a table to give you some orientation about what level is suitable for a particular customer. However a pricing decision is based on many factors and at all times you must aim to maximise your margin (and thus your commission).
